District Planning Machinery Office

1. About the department:

              District planning Machinery, Dimapur is located at Dimapur town, opposite to Nagaland State Transport (General Manager) Office, at Lane-6. It was established in the year 1998 on creation of dimapur district in 1997. At present the office functions with Distrist Planning officer as the head and 3 sub-ordinate Technical Staff along with 24 Ministerial Staff and non-Ministerial Staff.

               District planning Officer, being the Member secretary of DPDB in the District, co-ordinate with various Departments, in regard to DPDB activities. Besides Dimapur District, District Planning Officer, is entrusted as the Member Secretary DPDB of both Nuiland and Chumoukedima Districts, due to non-establishment of planning Department at this juncture.

               Planning Department is also the Nodal Department of Local Area Development Project (LADP) for Dimapur District, consisting of 3 Constituencies, 1. Dimapur-I A/C, 2. DImapur-II A/C & 3. Dimapur-III A/C and also the two Assembly Constituencies  i.e. 4. Ghaspani-I A/C & 5. Ghaspani-II A/C of newly created Districts of Nuiland and Chumoukedima.
